- Leeches
- Mosquitoes
- Fire Ants
- Black Ants
- Red Ant nests
- Rats
- Bush Snakes
- Poisonous Spiders
- Piousness centipedes
- Scorpions
- Booby-traps of all types
- grass cuts
- Malaria
- Dehydration
- Heat Exhaustion
- Sun Stroke
- Sun Burn
- Red Dust
- Jungle Rot
- Monsoon
- Dysentery
- Hook Worms
- Wet feet
- Bug juice (insect repellent)
- Sleeping in water
- Bad drinking water
- C-Rations
- Loss of Buddies
- Loss of sleep
- Dirty sweat filled fatigues
- Army eggs
- Missing family, home, friends.
- Dealing with emotions of various types.
- Dealing with fear

Missing on list,
I can state, from experience, “friendly fire”
How about the elephant in the middle of the room. NIGHT AMBUSH PATROLS!!!! Biggest stomach twister for me. I don’t know if that counts, though.
Getting lost on patrol.
Tear gas on ambush.
Waiting for everything-especially for the time to go home
Bamboo poisoning really put the hurt to the machete man. I hated rice paddies. Vulnerable and wet misery. How about prickly heat rash on our back from lugging back packs?
